3×3 Westfield Glòries

Barcelona's biggest urban 3x3 basketball tournament: CB Grup Barna, Time Chamber and Eix Clot bring it to the Clot-Glòries neighbourhood, with FIBA points and €2,000 in prizes shared equally between the senior women's and men's competitions.

What 3x3 basketball is

3x3 is half-court basketball: teams of 3 to 5 players and a single basket, with 3 on court and up to 2 substitutes. Games last 10 minutes or until 21 points, the scoreboard moves fast and in one day a team can play several rounds back to back. It is the format that entered the Olympics at Tokyo 2021 and the one that works best on the street, because it only needs half a court and an afternoon.

The 3rd edition, across three Clot-Glòries venues

On 6 and 7 June 2026 CB Grup Barna, Time Chamber and Eix Clot brought the tournament to three venues less than 15 minutes' walk apart: Westfield Glòries (main venue and FIBA court, Av. Diagonal 208), La Nau del Clot (the club's own hall, Carrer de la Llacuna 170-172, for the youth categories) and the Rambleta del Clot (outdoor court, for the amateur seniors and the Barna Màgics).

The tournament has 10 categories, from the Escoleta to the veterans, and only the seniors share world ranking points from FIBA 3x3 and the cash prize. In the rest, trophies, medals and gifts from local shops.

Organisers and sponsors

The tournament is made possible by CB Grup Barna, Time Chamber and Eix Clot, with the support of Barcelona City Council and Westfield Glòries as the official venue.

How the 3rd edition went (June 2026)

On 6 and 7 June 2026 the 3rd edition of the 3x3 Westfield Glòrieswas played, and it was a step up from the first two: 113 teams registered, the tournament's all-time record, well above the 80 teams of 2024 and the 100 of 2025. The tournament grew to 10 categories (from Escoleta to Senior Pro) and 3 venues less than 15 minutes' walk apart —La Nau del Clot, Westfield Glòries and the Rambleta del Clot— so that it no longer happens inside a shopping centre: it happens across the whole Clot-Glòries neighbourhood.

For the first time the tournament shared out €2,000 in equal prize money —€1,000 for the Senior Women's champions and €1,000 for the Senior Men's champions—, a difference no other 3x3 in Barcelona offers.

The 3rd edition also added FIBA official status with world ranking points and coverage on FIBA Play, plus the inclusive category Barna Màgics: real competition, with its own trophy and adapted rules, not an exhibition. It was held during LGBTI+ Pride Month, with the official shirt carrying its colours and the participation of Kendall Martin, a trans player and former Barça B player. Around 508 players competed, with the support of 7 content creators with a combined reach of more than 1.9 million followers on Instagram —among them Ari Geli, with her professional team Panthers— all of it entirely organic and without any payment (who they are, one by one, with their reach). The tournament was also visited by David Escudé, Barcelona City Council's sports councillor, and the club has been confirmed as a finalist for the 19th Premi Dona i Esport thanks, in good part, to this tournament.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Westfield Glòries 3x3?

What is the 3x3 format like?

Three players per team on a single basket, on a half court. Matches are short and back to back, so on a single day a team can play several knockout rounds. It's the Olympic basketball format since the Tokyo Games.

What are the prizes?

€2,000 in prizes: €1,000 for the winning senior women's team and €1,000 for the winning senior men's team, an equal-prize format unique in Barcelona. All other categories get trophies, medals and gifts from local shops.

When is the next edition?
